The Kerala Class 10 Board Exams 2017 or Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Exam 2017 results were declared on Friday. Students can check their results at the official website:, and

The exam was conducted in March at 2,933 centres in the state and 9 centres in Lakshadweep and the Middle-East. About 4,55,906 regular students and 2,588 private students appeared for the SSLC exam.

The results, however, were delayed after the mathematics question paper was leaked and the exam was rescheduled. Even the final examination was not without controversy with at least 11 questions of the model exam being repeated.

The embarrassed government later cancelled the exam conducted on 20 March and rescheduled it for 30 March. It later announced a vigilance inquiry into the paper leak, according to a Hindustan Times report.

The probe found an alleged nexus between two teachers, who set the question paper, and a private tuition centre in Malappuram led to the leak, the report said.

A report by the state education secretary Usha Titus, recommended many changes in the present system and favoured an expert committee to overhaul examination sector.

In 2016, the results were declared on 27 April and with pass percentage at 96.59%.

Kerala Board announced the result for near about 5 lakh students.

The exam had begun on 8 March 2017 at 2933 centres in the State and 9 centres in Lakshadweep and the Gulf region. The Board had started the evaluation process on April. This year the Board has delayed the SSLC result date by almost 10 days.

The exam was held smoothly however issues arose when reports of Mathematics question paper leak came to light. Kerala Education Minister Prof C Ravindranath ordered for vigilance probe on the basis of the report filed by General Education Secretary Usha Titus in this matter. The report also recommended a detailed investigation into the matter.
